Product Review: MyClyns Germ Protection Spray

Anyone else addicted to hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes like I am? Currently I work in a school, and as soon as I get into my car I grab a wipe to clean my hands. I constantly wash my hands during the day and use hand sanitizer as well to keep those yucky germs away.

I was sent a product called MyClyns to review, which is a germ protection spray that is safe to spray directly in your face, including eyes, ears, nose, mouth and minor cuts and abrasions. The germ killing action reduces more than 60 pathogens by 99.9%. It contains no alcohol, is toxic free, and is non-burning. It is to be used after coming into contact with germs. For example, someone sneezes on you and you want to protect yourself from becoming ill. Maybe you are flying on an airplane and you would like to protect yourself from those germs that are being spread throughout the air which is recirculated over and over. There might be an annoying coworker who just doesn't want to take the day off, but is coughing and sneezing all over the place; MyClyns is the perfect solution to combat these germs.

This product has been available only to medical professionals and been used by police, fire fighters, corrections officers and healthcare workers for years. Union Springs Pharmaceuticals has now made the product available for consumers, at an affordable price as well.

I really like the design of the product. It fits right into a purse and won't spill everywhere. That's important to me because I carry a nice purse and I don't want to ruin it. That's one reason why I don't carry lotion or the bottles of hand sanitizer, because they always seem to explode in my purse!

I tried the MyClyns product for over a week and didn't feel that it actually protected me, because now I'm sick with something like a cold or the flu. My issue with this review is that I really don't know how well this product works because I obviously couldn't use it each and every time I went somewhere. I wasn't going to spray it when I was out to dinner celebrating our Anniversary. I did use it on a cut I had on my hand when going to Target and the grocery store. I'm unsure how I feel about MyClyns. I don't care for putting things in my eyes since I wear contacts, so I close my eyes when spraying the MyClyns solution. I'm also not an advocate for ingesting chemicals, and who knows what is really in this product, although it does contain a solution cleared by the FDA. I can't say I recommend this product, but it may be something you would like to try if you have young children and your family is frequently getting sick.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Express for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Anyone else around this country (and world- hello to my worldwide readers!) having nice weather like we've had in California the last few days? It's April, and that means its time to start thinking about swimwear and working on those bikini bodies. It's time for some new bikinis, or some cute one piece swim suits. Express Swimsuit

I'd love to wear this cute cover-up to the beach or even to walk down the street to our pool. I'm a big sunbather, although I do like my shade and sunscreen to keep this fair skin of mine cancer-free.

Hoo Are You Tuesday- 4.5.11

I've been really bad at doing this meme each Tuesday. This week I finally remembered, but at 6:18 pm. Unfortunately the woman that runs Hoo Are You Tuesday was having computer issues this week and wasn't able to post the question for this week. Since I've missed so many in recent weeks, I decided I'd take last week's questions and just post them for my readers to enjoy and get to know a little bit more about me.

1. What is your favorite magazine?
Since I've started blogging, I've signed up for many free subscriptions for magazines. My mailbox is filled at the beginning and middle of each month, along with my table in my living room because we can't keep up with all of them. However, my top few favorites are Whole Living, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health (actually more interesting than the women's version) and Fitness.

2. What color are your eyes?
They are blue; sometimes like the ocean and other times like the sky.

3. Do you go to the dentist on a regular 6 month schedule or do you put it off?
I am on a regular 6 month schedule. Got to keep these pearly whites, white!

4. Do you use anything to make your house smell good?
Yes, and my neighbor Lisa has told me I need to do a blog post about this because it's so yummy. No dog smell in our house! It smells like cinnamon, with the occasional vanilla since I've been enjoying the Sugar. Sweet. Soy. tarts that I was sent to review.

5. Do you have any pets?
Wow! Of course we do! There is Bentley the Yorkie and Bella the Miniature Schnauzer. See recent posts about Kona's Chips for some pics of them.

Rafflecopter Review Opportunity

For my fellow bloggers, there is a new software about to hit the markets to help us manage our giveaways that we host on our blogs called Rafflecopter. You will be able to check out the entries you receive, select a winner, and even make your giveaway easier to enter with a simple format.

The company is looking for bloggers to test out the software in the coming few months and would then like feedback on how it works. I know I'm excited to test out this software because running giveaways can be hard work!

To make this product even more cool, Rafflecopter will be a free software that you will be able to use on your blog. No more additional software to purchase!

If you are interested in working with Rafflecopter for this review opportunity, send an email to

Royal Wedding: I've Seen It All

Anyone been following all this hoopla about the upcoming Royal Nuptials? Not I... except for the occasional article I see pop up my home page that interests me because it's too funny not to check out.

Yesterday I read about the stamps in New Zealand where Kate and William were detachable. I went searching for some other random items, and the best was this....
That, my friends, is sick. Why would you ever want a picture of someone on your refrigerator? And the Prince and soon to be Princess, nonetheless. At least put a picture of yourself and your significant other on there.

Okay, I have a question for you. Who is going to order one of these? If you do, please take a picture and show me how it looks with your kitchen decor.

Baubles and Dangles Jewelry Winner

Well, we have a winner! Congratulations to Michele P. She won the Baubles and Dangles jewelry giveaway and will get to select her choice of earrings.

Enjoy those earrings, Michele! Check out Baubles and Dangles to purchase your own gorgeous set of earrings!

Review and Giveaway: Sugar. Sweet. Soy

I'm a sucker for delicious smelling candles. My favorites are those that have sweet aromas like vanilla, sugar cookie, cinnamon, vanilla frosting, and chocolate cake.

My nose couldn't have been happier when I received a package from Sugar. Sweet. Soy. I knew I would be satisfied with the scents because I could smell them before I evened opened up the package. I like my scents strong because otherwise the wax burns and the smell goes away too quickly. If the product was this strong already it would be perfect once I used it with my burner!

However, these tarts are not candles. They are scented pieces of wax that are used with a burner to allow the aroma to fill your room, similar to what a candle does. These tarts have no wick in them, thus the difference between a tart and a candle. To burn these, you may use a traditional oil burner that uses a tea light underneath to burn the tarts, or to rid your home of the dangers of candles, purchase a tart burner that uses electricity and a lightbulb to heat the wax.

The Honey Vanilla Love Dust came in a clamshell package and included 6 pieces to use. I've gotten at least 12+ hours of fragrance out of each piece since it was so fragrant. For those eco-conscious users, after the wax stops giving off fragrance, pour the wax into a container or back into the clamshell package and add fragrance (like oil) to it and it can be reused again. Very cost conscious as well!

If you have a preference for the clamshell package with 6 breakaway pieces or the single tarts, you can choose any of the many scents to have them made in. Such personalization at Sugar. Sweet. Soy.

The tarts were so cute and came packaged nicely. I shared one with my mom since she came over and was curious since we had both not used these tarts before. She gave her own review, "This block of fragrance is yummy! I put it in my melting pot and it's burning evenly. My kitchen smells like red velvet cake. The aroma is beginning to linger into the rest of the house making me want a big slice of cake. Thank you!"

These would make a great gift for a friend, a thank you gift for a teacher, an upcoming Mother's Day present, or a "just because" gift.
